But I think this message is not understood by all JVXPs (I know XP30 and JV1010 do respond to this message), so with some units the editor shows OFFLINE even there is communication between the editor and the synth.
Roland Jv 1010 Patch Editor Series Editor AvailableHi forum members Theres a new free Roland JV-XP series Editor available (another one).
All info is here: JV-XP Editor for Roland JV1080, JV2080, JV1010, XP30, XP50, XP60 and XP80 series synthesizers Ctrlr Finally a free VST Multitimbral Editor. Roland Jv 1010 Patch Editor Full Control OfWorks in PatchPerformance mode, with full control of all 16 parts (Rhythm part included), every parameter can be automated in the DAW, and theres total recall of all the parameters. Once hosted in a DAW, you can use your synth like any VST instrument. Load and save patches, change them, build it from scratch, randomize them. Its been barely tested only on a XP30, so let me know any problem you could find. For now its just for Windows, eventually there will be a OSX version. Cheers. No Linux version Ctrlr runs on Linux too, so a Linux version should be doable. Or else please also publish the panel file separately so we can load it into Ctrlr ourselves. Seccione: I dont own a 5080, otherwise I would make a editor for it. Roland Jv 1010 Patch Editor Mac Version YetBrilliant. got excited for a second until i realised theres no Mac version yet which is a real shame, would love a Mac version. Select Lib - right clicking on the bottom pane and using the Copy patchpaste patch etc. Yes, patch copy function is broken and it will be fixed in the next version. The same goes for the latter issue about saving and loading individual patches, it will be fixed as well. Ive been developing this editor side by side with another one for the MC505 (as they almost share the same synth engine) and this was implemented there but forgot to add it to this editor. No sorry. If someone is willing to give me his JD-990, Ill do one. Does the sysex implementation for the JVs offer the ability to control the screen on the units It would be great as you moved around the interface in the VST if the screen on the synth mirrored the movements youre making on the UI. Also Ive noticed that it appears to be sending some sort of regular MIDI message to my 2080 even when the VST is just sitting idle on the screen in Live. I have to reconfig every time I instantiate the VST on a new track. It resizes the UI itself but you have to use scroll bars to move around the VST. Is it possible to have Ctlr resize the window if you rescale the UI The standard UI size is a bit small for my poor old eyes on a 28 monitor.
